Cindy Sheehan is back outside Dubya's ranch, demanding an answer to a simple question, for what did her son die?
A Veteran is kicked out of a V.A. Medical Center for wearing a Veterans For Peace shirt. Even arrested. Yes, this country has gone completely insane.

Interesting essay on how the current criticism of Rumsfeld by numerous Generals is basically a mutiny. And it's a mutiny that's likely to expand.
Risk your life in Iraq and what's your reward? You can't get on the damn plane home because you're on the no-fly list.
Oddly enough, the same soldier had the same problem getting on the plane to go to training before heading to war.
Lots of retired Generals are speaking out against Rumsfield. Those on the right are having a tough time dealing with it. Here's a nice description of the various ways they're avoiding the obvious, that these Generals are sincere (and correct).
A fifth retired general calls for Rumsfeld's resignation. (Or the sixth, depending on who's doing the counting.) This time it's Major General Charles Swannack, former commander of the 82nd Airborne Division.
So why are these guys only speaking up now?
More and more retired Generals are calling for Rumsfeld to resign.
Two-star Major General John Batiste, recently retired, commanded troops in Iraq just last year. Now he's calling for Runsfeld to resign, saying:
"I believe we need a fresh start in the Pentagon. We need a leader who understands teamwork, a leader who knows how to build teams, a leader that does it without intimidation."
Of course, he's retired now. This would have been more impressive a year ago.
It's hard enough to have your child die in Iraq. Harder still when the government makes it worse by chastising grieving parents, withholding personal effects, and not letting parents see their dead children.
Opinion piece about how the working class shoulder the vast majority of the burden of war and how the US is shamelessly abusing them.
If the rich had to fight wars, we wouldn't have any.
Even those who oppose the War on Iraq are glad when US deaths in Iraq decline. (Tragically, most Americans don't seem to care much about Iraqi deaths in Iraq.)
However, even though US deaths are declining, serious injuries continue to increase.

Dubya says that whatever poor sap has to follow his performance will have to determine when US soldiers come home.
Which means, of course, they're there until 2008, at least.
Dubya blames the media for hurting the troops by reporting that the troops were concerned over delays in getting new weapons technology.
AT&T abuses its monoploy position in Iraq to prevent soldiers from using other long distance carriers.
Minnesota starts to take a legislative stand against the truly evil bastards that picket funerals of gay folks, including gay soldiers killed in Iraq.
Nice essay on the many ways the US is moving backwards.
Continued information on whether the Marines are preventing US soldiers from accessing sites politcally at odds with the administration.
Quick list of some of the web sites banned from reaching US soldiers (Wonkette, Air America, etc.) and some of those allowed (Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, etc.).
Nice comparison of quotes from Dubya played against the reality that the Republicans have forced on the US, Iraq, and the entire world.
