Sandra Day O'Connor says that Republicans "challenge the independence of judges and the freedoms of all Americans."
True. But, gee, maybe she should have thought about that before handing the Presidency to Dubya.
Justice at Stake campaigns for an independant judiciary. It keeps track of the ill effects of special interests groups and an imperial executive branch. Its stated goals are to:

2) Protect the power of our courts to protect our rights and defend the Constitution.
